I watched this on British TV last night and it made my blood boil. Taking liberties is a documentary charting the destruction of our Basic Liberties under 10 Years of New Labour which was released to coincide with Tony Blair’s departure. Follow the stories of normal people who’s lives have been turned upside down by injustice, from being arrested for holding a placard outside parliament to being tortured in Guantanamo Bay. Its about time we took the power back!


Noam Chomsky is an American linguist, philosopher, political activist, author and lecturer. Although he was initially best known in the academic field as an outstanding linguist, in recent times Chomsky has become sought after for his work in the field of political activism. This classic multi award-winning documentary film that explores the political life and ideas of the man himself. A must watch!
