Taxi to the Dark Side

April 14th, 2009 by admin | Filed under War

This is a superb Academy Award-nominated documentary film directed by American filmmaker Alex Gibney. The two-hour long story tells of a young Afghan taxi driver, Dilawar, an innocent bystander who was picked up by American troops, tortured, and died from his severe injuries at an American detention center. The film uses never-before-seen footage, interviews with leading politicians and activists and comments from soldiers who were in Afghanistan.

It was a gripping film. I only wished the sound had been in sink.
Looking at Dick Cheney and seeing colin powell move his lips was disturbing. Maybe it should be a new sanctioned CIA torture method. I know it made me want to kill myself. Until I had a Yoohoo® Chocolate flavored high fructose corn syrup product that causes obesity in children and stroke in adults who are stupid enough to drink it.
